Welcome to A&M Corner!   This week's A&M Album Of The Week is from Brothers Johnson: RIGHT ON TIME (SP-4644). In our A&M/CTi/Horizon Jazz forum, the AOTW is from Tamba 4: SAMBA BLIM (SP-3013). Our Carpenters forum is also featuring "THE OFFICIAL REVIEW", hosted by moderator Chris May, where you can participate in an ongoing discussion about each Carpenters album in detail. This edition: "OFFERING" (SP-4205).

Did You Know? At Herb Alpert's insistence, the Carpenters recorded a Burt Bacharach song that Richard Carpenter thought would be a monster hit, or a major flop. Despite their lukewarm response to the tune, "(They Long To Be) Close To You" turned into another Billboard No. 1 hit for A&M (and its composers), and the first for the Carpenters.

A&M Corner :: Now On Twitter   In order to broadcast updates, we've set up a Twitter account for A&M Corner. Whenever we have new features on the site or in the forum (yes, we have some major ones planned), or important news related to A&M or its artists, we'll shoot out a quick message to you.
