This week's A&M Album Of The Week is from Head East: HEAD EAST (SP-4680). In our A&M/CTi/Horizon Jazz forum, the AOTW is from Charles Lloyd: GEETA (SP-3046).
Did You Know? The Antonio Carlos Jobim album Wave has been spotted with two differently colored versions of the Pete Turner "giraffe" photograph. The correct colors are the red/purple color scheme; Turner reports that the blue/green cover is actually a printing error, the color plates having been printed in reverse when the album was reissued.
BBC TV To Air Herb Alpert Documentary
BBC TV has been planning for some months, a documentary about Herb Alpert, which will air this summer. A crew is in Los Angeles currently shooting interviews and recorded Herb, Lani & the Band at Vibrato. More details as available.

New Sergio Mendes CD Due
BOM TEMPO is the tentative title for a new Sergio CD, which will have an advance release of 3/24 in Japan and a bonus track. The U.S. release is due in May on Concord.
