| The song "Since You Been Gone" was also done by Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow (from their 1979 "Down To Earth") & being played on classic rock radio than the Head East version. Matt Clark Sanford, MI |

I thought this was the LP that would put Head East over the top. It's their best record (along with FLAT AS A PANCAKE) in my opinion - the song "Open Up the Door" is a great opener and the anthem "Get Up And Enjoy Yourself" was a great concert staple back in the day.
The two-fer mentioned above is a VERY nice package and makes a nice collector's item, since it's a Hip-O Select item. Well worth finding. _________________ Mike B. |

I agree that "Since You Been Gone" and "Open Up The Door" are the real smokers on this LP (Can I say 'smokers'?... Oh, well... never mind). ANYWAY, another great tune, a 'sleeper', is "Dance Away Lover". Too bad it didn't get any airplay. For that matter, it's a shame that none of these really broke through. I know there was an audience out there who would've jumped on the bandwagon if this LP had been promoted right.
Definitely their best effort after FLAT AS A PANCAKE. I just wish that the albums in between (GETTIN' LUCKY and GET YOURSELF UP) were as good as these in their entirety.
