Funny how this LP was recorded in '72 and sports a cover of "Killing Me Softly", when that song was actually a bigger hit in '73, most notably by Roberta Flack among the countless others...
Perhaps it trades on the first version recorded by Lori Lieberman, whose version of "I Got A Name" predates Jim Croce's version by a year, too (as she had been working with Norman Gimbel & Charlie Fox who produced the album she was recording at the time, featuring their songs that year that this was released)...
As for Weisberg's entry here, it's just another mildly done outing in a nice, but quite wretched and dated, easy listening-jazz fluff...
The "Scrabble X", "...Y", "...Z" songs are neat, but the rest meander and are rendered unfocused while tenuously held together by Tim's flute in some spots... Which then as a whole, only (even with the stalwart band of high-prized session musicians) makes sturdy, but mainly lightweight background music...
