RIP Buddy Emmons (Steel Guitarist)

Just saw on my Facebook newsfeed that Buddy Emmons has died. He played steel guitar on some Carpenters recordings, notably "Top of the World."

Interesting for what started out as primarily a Hawaiian instrument, becoming associated with Country music in the other 49 states!

Besides Carpenters, there were a lot of recordings Buddy played on, throughout his career, lasting until 2001...
