A curious album. Kiddo was formed by two former members of the later era Parliament-Funkadelic empire: Donnie Sterling (writer) and Michael Hampton (guitar). P-Funk was disbanded by George Clinton in 1981, and Kiddo was formed the same year after the breakup. One notable member was Leroy Davis, a young guitar prodigy who sang lead on many of the groups songs, and was a first cousin of Fats Domino. On this album, the final two tracks feature writing and production by John Barnes, who had also worked with A&M artist Herb Alpert on his Wild Romance and Bullish albums, and was a session keyboard player going back into the 1970s.

The album itself is in the style of mid 80s synth-funk, reminiscent of other similar bands back in that era.
